Game Transcription
Annotating games is encouraged by the WLCL, as it provides a way to improve your game.
If you play and annotate the game, you may submit the annotations to the WLCL for
transcription into PGN format. The games should be recorded in algebraic or descriptive notation.
Turn around time is typically 48 hours.

Chess problems are a great way to hone your skills.
The WLCL offers a daily chess problems for your enjoyment throughout the year.
These are generally mate in 2, but sometimes you may see an occasional mate in 3.

Bughouse Chess
Bughouse Chess is an interesting twist on the Royal Game. It is a fun diversion and
an excellent way to practice quick chess thinking.

Open Season
In the spring, the WLCL publically announces the commencement of the annual season
The season starts with Round Robin Play between all interested players.
participation in the open season is a requirment for eligibility for the tournamnet.
The 2002 season is currently in progress.
We are not currently in Season play

Annual Tournament
Shortly following the open Season, the WLCL holds a Double Elimination tournament.
Invitations to the tournament are based on the results of the open season,
proceeding from top to bottom until 8 individuals accept.
